Fair Play Policy

• Any attempt to refresh or close the tab while a sum is in progress results in a -25 Rating Penalty inside the server.
• Only enter the exact arithmetic answer before the counter timer runs out completely.
• Wrong answer in Fair Play Verification Zone = -25 Rating Penalty

Elite Standings

Once a player crosses the 2800 Rating threshold, they are recognized as an Elite Player. Reaching 3200+ means you are "Tournament Ready" for professional worldwide arithmetic challenges.

Rating Acceleration & Dynamic Volatile K-Factor

Your performance ranking operates under a specialized statistical Elo evaluation algorithm with a highly adaptive dynamic placement K-factor index to accelerate beginners safely and insulate established configurations:

• Dynamic K-Progressions: K=256 for your first 3 games; K=128 for the next 2 games; K=64 for the next 5 games; K=32 for the next 5 games; settling permanently to K=16 from game 16 onwards.
• Rating Multipliers (Increases): Successfully submitting correct compilation results shifts your value upwards. If you out-pace your opponent's baseline chronometer speed, an accelerated speed multiplier index scales your output up to your active game index optimization boundary.
• Deflection Degradation (Decreases): Registering incorrect responses or allowing the absolute countdown clock sequence to exhaust automatically drops your value parameter. Resigning inside an active matchmaking timeline applies a variable deficit modifier.

Message From the Founder

AbacusArena.org was built from the ground up by founder and lead developer Aswin Krishnamoorthy to offer students a premium, distraction-free environment for rapid calculation practice. We want to be completely open with our community regarding our structural operations and explicitly state that we'll not provide the full amount of incoming donations directly to the technical updation of AbacusArena.org, back-end servers, or database instances. We're a full free platform trying to serve you all the interactive needs that're there to improve in Abacus without ads or paywalls, so we need money for our life and as a motivation to keep expanding our platform. By the way, we also constantly provide many new updates and invest partially from community donations right back into our physical hosting infrastructure to ensure a lightning-fast calculation ecosystem for everyone worldwide.
